アブストラクト We investigated the operation tolerance of a semiconductor integrated optical digital-to-analog converter on phase and intensity fluctuation. We first estimated the influence of factors of output power fluctuation of a semiconductor ODAC, and confirmed the effect of frequency chirping quantitatively. Next, we also analyzed the operation tolerance of an ODAC by calculating the BER of output signal. At that point, we can obtain fluctuate tolerance widely by determining reference values suitably. As a result, we obtained phase difference output signal from -10 to 10 [deg], a parameter of modulator from -0.2 to 0.2, input power from -0.6 to 0.6 [dBm], and extinction ratio less than 0.039.
