アブストラクト Microscopic damage is generated when compression stress is increased on porous ceramic materials. A non-linear stress-strain relationship reflects information of microscopic damage initiation and its evolution. The authors proposed the theory to estimate the microscopic damage, so that the theory is verified by using three types of refractories in comparison with acoustic emission (AE) measurement. The probability density function calculated from this theory agrees well with AE time spectrum.
