Some insects exhibit characteristic behaviours for
a long moment when they get key stimuli but the neurons which
control the behaviours have much shorter time constant than
the durations of the behaviours. This time scale gap makes the
mechanisms of the neural circuits hard to reveal. In this paper,
we propose an oscillator network with a temporary memory
function (ONTM) as one of the solutions to this problem.
This ONTM has the ability to generate considerably slower
transitions than those of the oscillators composing ONTM. We
first design the oscillator for the ONTM. Then the performance
of the ONTM is verified by analyses and simulations. Finally,
we discuss the characteristics of the ONTM.
