Stereoselective synthesis of chiral tetrasubstituted alkenes, e.g. I, through an asym. cascade reaction catalyzed cooperatively by cationic rhodium(I) and silver(I) complexes is reported. This reaction was also successfully applied to the enantio- and diastereoselective synthesis of tetra-substituted helical alkenes possessing both central and helical chirality. [on SciFinder(R)]
