Two different non-linear mechanisms are studied by using the rate equations. The first non-linear mechanism is the induced spin-polarization of the valence band (-Pv) as a consequence of the spin injection into the conduction band (+Pc) and subsequent re-absorption of minority-helicity radiation (sigma+) in an active layer. The second non-linear mechanism is the amplification of majority-helicity radiation (sigma-) through the stimulated emission that occurs not only for the transition {+1/2 => HH +3/2} but also for the transition {-1/2 => LH +1/2}.
