The method for landslide risk analysis has been discussed. The procedures of frequency analysis are proposed for earthquake induced landslide. The new concept of 'critical line' makes Monte Carlo simulation more effective. Since how to estimate the travel distance, velocity and volume distribution of debris from landslide is the key problems in consequence analysis, a very effective numerical method called Discontinuous Deformation Analysis simulation has been proposed and applied to a practical example. The results from DDA simulations are quite in agreement with those observed from the past landslide occurred in the same place. Therefore, the proposed way for risk analysis of earthquake induced landslide can be expected to be put into practical use.
