This paper describes the behavior of a visco-elastic damper for seismic control structure under longtermvibration. In general, viscoelastic dampers have temperature dependency, and the temperature ofthe visco-elastic material rises during an earthquake. Therefore, the performance declines in long-termearthquakes. In this report, we show the evaluation result of performance degradation in large amplitudeand long-time repeated vibration, based on repeated vibration tests. In addition, we applied a methodthat can easily evaluate complex vibrations by replacing random waves with equivalent sinusoidal wave. Thus, we evaluated the effectiveness of the method and showed the change of the characteristic by thismethod under the long period ground motion.
