High-definition (HD) maps are maps that are used by autonomous vehicles (AV) to navigate the road. Lanelet2 is an open-source HD map vector format that is supported in Autoware.AI. This work introduces a conversion tool for HD Map vectors
to convert from GeoPackage, an open format for geospatial information, to Lanelet2. The proposed conversion tool aims
to act as a platform to improve the connection between GIS mapping professionals and autonomous vehicle developers, as
well as to harness the spatial information processing prowess of GIS mapping tools for HD maps.
